Mission: S3 M1 Into the Targ Pit

Timeline: Between #32 & #33

Captain’s Log, suplimental,

“We have arrived at Starbase 364 on the edge of the Shackleton expanse. Our orders are to aid the newly promoted station commander to bring the neglected station back online and to help defend the station until it is. However, it appears my crew reputation has given some Admirals pause, the 364 commander seems to be on this list for he has seen fit to give my senior staff the job of bringing an old Targ farm back under his control. I am unsure if this is punishment or not, if they succeed he will get the credit, if they fail i fear that the official reason will be that the away team were not up to the task. I will admit that i am somewhat protective of my officers and i do dislike other commanders ordering them about, however”

Pax let out a frustrated sigh.

“However, this is not my party and we have been ordered to aid the station commander. His ‘requests’ have thus far not been anything I can reasonably oppose. So my ship and crew are at his beck and call!

Of course everything we do is being hindered by the station's own passive defenses. The hull is composed of sensor and transporter blocking technologies, this has made it more difficult to even locate a problem, let alone getting a team in to repair it. But, this coming weekend will mark the first time a fleet ship has entered the expanse propper in more than 16 years, and that honor falls to the Potemkin. I am unsure if I am more excited to return to exploration for the sake of exploring, or to get away from the influence of the new territorial command of 364!”
